Mary E. Hutchinson’s “Hilda” Sold at Auction!

November 27, 2012 4:22 pm

Hilda

I just learned that Mary E. Hutchinson’s portrait of “Hilda” (ca. 1934) recently sold at Swann Auction Galleries!  For more details about the painting and its exhibition history, see my digital archiving “work in progress” site – Artworks of Mary E. Hutchinson – at http://meh.omeka.net.

Needless to say, I would love to hear from the lucky collector who managed to scoop it up!

  4. Dear Ms. Turner
My name is Carol Moschella. My Aunt was Joanna Lanza. I am interested in Ms. Hutchinson ‘s portraits. Many of them were of my Aunts including Joanna, Rosalie and Helen. I own Joanna with the checkered shirt. It has been handed down to me through the years. My cousin has a portrait of his Mom Helen. I am trying to locate a portrait of my mother Mary which I understand is in a museum somewhere in Georgia. I have a black and white photo of it but would love to see it in color. I would be grateful if you would have any information on it

    Thank you so much.
